Professional Captains, Bussers, and Servers
We are looking for people who can anticipate the guests' needs, are excited about building relationships and enjoy taking care of others. All positions are expected to set up, work service and break down dining rooms entirely.
POS Expert and wine knowledge a plus.
Must be willing to work weekends, holidays and project a positive, team-oriented work ethic.
Compensation contingent upon experience.



Grill Room Floor Manager


Summary:
Our Food & Beverage program must be consistently classic, cutting edge and creative.An eye for fiscal, culinary, beverage & aesthetic detail is paramount for the success of our agreed upon Commitments to the Members of this Club.You will be the face of the food and beverage operation, consistently striding to meet the needs of the members each day. 

 
Specific Responsibility:
Noted, however not limited to:
Service & Style
  Greet Members as they arrive for the day
Supervise service in all dining areas including Grill Room, Grill Room Bars, Terrace etc.
 Ensure that all stations are set up properly
Supervision and controlling of staff schedules each week
Develop, implement and enforce steps of service for Grill, Banquet & Bar personnel
Maintain uniform program and hold staff to the Club's standards
Ensure that the Grill Room and Terrace are set each day in a consistent manner
Enforce steps of service for dining room
Enforce completion of side duties 
Assist with member/guest complaints
The ability to anticipate Member/Guest needs, change direction quickly and multitask
  SHCC must set the pace for other Clubs to follow

 
Personnel
Provide progressive discipline documents to employees when necessary in the company of another manager
Assist with the hiring and supervising of all food and beverage personnel

Food, Beverage & Management
  Attend weekly department meetings
Set all buffets for private functions in the Grill Room area
Responsible for opening/closing the Club at the beginning of each day
Any other duties deemed appropriate by the Director of Member Dining & General Manager




2017 Entry Level Seasonal Rotational Internship

Job Description
The selected individuals will receive experience in all entry level facets of banquet service, hotel service, restaurant dining, summer camps, inventory and ordering. Additional rotations through the grounds department, clubhouse operations, equestrian, tennis and sales department will be available as well. Interns will be able to learn and experience these operations thus gaining a thorough understanding of the Country Club business. 

Candidate Qualifications
An enthusiastic attitude and a hands on approach will allow candidates to excel on our team. Candidates must be able to: 
  1. Assist in the on-property lodging including but not limited to concierge service, front-desk service, and housekeeping operations.
  2. Assist in the food service operation including but not limited to event setup, event operations, event clean-up, banquet attendant, a la carte severing assistant, and bar back.
  3. Must maintain the high standards in a professional appearance, demeanor, and communication with all Members, guests, and staff.
  4. Will follow all specified duties as directed by management.
  5. Must be able to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  6. Must be able to withstand prolonged standing, stretching, kneeling, bending, and be able to lift 50 lbs. with no restrictions.
  7. Are able to withstand hot, cold, smoky, and / or humid conditions for prolonged periods of time.
  8. Should be able to work without direct supervision.
Educational Requirements
  1. Should be enrolled in a hospitality or sport-related major. (Recent graduates are welcome to apply as well.)
  2. Must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and have completed (1) year of their degree.
  3. Relate all educational requirements to management in a timely fashion that are needed during the duration of their employment.

Other Benefits 
  1. Higher compensation will be provided to those Students that have a GPA greater than 3.0.
  2. We provide on-site housing for interns at the cost of $40.00 per week, which includes on-site laundry and all utilities including cable and internet.
  3. Staff uniforms are provided free of charge along with a dry cleaning stipend.
  4. Daily family meal which is served during lunch and dinner each day.
  5. Ability to golf on specific days where the club is closed to Members.
